Gotta love the BJD Life!

This week we are discussing some of the more mature topics/stories/photo stories in the BJD hobby. BJDs are loved by everyone of all ages-but are there places where people can post more mature content?

DISCLAIMER: I will not go into depth of what kinds of mature content there are or give images of what it looks like. This week is purely for discussion and reader discretion is advised.

What is mature content with BJDs?

There are different sub genres within each hobby and BJDs have TONS. Some people are into fictional writing, photo stories, faceups, photography, journaling, LARP, and more. There are even people who have more mature content involving their BJDs that will be labeled 18+ or for mature audiences only. This may be due to language, mature content, horror content, or something else that is not fit for younger audiences.

I am not here to put shame onto anything- people are free to create art and do their own things with their dolls. The question is…where do you go? Are there even groups for these things? What are your thoughts?

Common groups/places for more mature content with BJDs

Now back in the day there was a forum called Den of Demons that I felt at one point was a place for people to post mature content. However, I think with time it did get filled with other things and more negative conversations took place there.

Fast forward to today and now we have more social media outlets like Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, and Discord. Each of those outlets have several BJD groups within in them and some are very specific and others are just general groups.

I actually did take some time to do a search for like “BJD Groups 18+” and was either met with other NSFW content not having anything to do with ball jointed dolls or BJD groups but with not 18+ tag. Discord is a bit trickier to navigate and again I didn’t find a community with that tag. I have heard people talk about groups that exist where you need to be 18+ to join- but I haven’t looked further into that.

So why are they hard to find? Are they just a taboo thing in the hobby?

I would love to hear your thoughts on this topic! I started a thread on my Facebook page to see what you think. I would also like to see if anyone has found spaces for content like this?

My TLDR on this is that people are free to do what they want with their dolls. Granted- I would suggest that you don’t just put your 18+ content wherever because each forum and group has their own set of rules. Facebook is also very strict with their policies too and have had a history of removing just normal sales images of nude dolls thinking they are humans. Therefore tread with caution and honestly ask mods if it is ok before posting.
